The cord does not extend very far and the weight of the coil device causes it to hang down, so if you like to talk on the phone while it charges this might drive you crazy. I resent the way cell phone manufacturers insist on making their chargers incompatible with any others but their own, so the interchangable tip concept is appealing and works well for me.
