Customer Reviews:

Exceeded expectations, 2008-11-16
This does just about everything I could ask for. My main interest was in recording and playback from the hard drive. In the HQ mode, fed into a 32 inch HD set via an HDMI cable, the picture quality is close to HD.
Programming is fairly easy, better than my old VCR.
The only issues are that the buttons on the remote are small and not very well laid out. After a month of use I still have to hunt to find them.
And for some reason, when you turn the unit on, you have to turn the TV set off, and back on again to get the DVR to show up on the screen. Sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesn't. I'm not sure if there's some un apparent trigger event causing this or if it's just a bug. It's more expensive than a DVD recorder with a programmable tuner but it's nice not to have to keep track of a bunch of separate disks.
