Your own virtual pets
Creatures: Village is a different kind of game. Your creatures live in a colorful and fanciful world that includes 15 exciting themed play areas with lots of activities and fun things to do. But this is only one aspect of the game. The coolest aspect is that you really get to raise your own virtual life pet(s). Once they (your Norns) hatch from an egg, you will need to take care of your new friend, give him a name, feed him when he is hungry, give him medicine when he is sick, make sure he is wearing warmer clothes when it snows, etc.
If you play for a while you will see your creature grow in front of your eyes. If you have hatched a second egg, once the two creatures become adults, they may fall in love, kiss, and reproduce. A new baby will be born with its own characteristics, part his mother, part his father. The creatures are not pre-programmed. They make their own choices and learn from their mistakes. You guide them around their world and experience it with them, helping them to learn.
Customer Reviews:
It's okay, but, 2008-08-19 my six-year old child got bored with it very, very quickly. I agree that part of the problem is the lack of directions or even hints in the game itself. We couldn't figure out what needed to be done and my kids didn't want to wait around while I read the directions. And one of the creatures always looks angry so my six-year old spent a lot of time trying to make it happy and she couldn't. Other than that, the controls are pretty easy, and my kids liked it for a bit. But I wouldn't buy it again.
