How we rate software

Softforall.com evaluate the software products based on a scale of one through five stars, with one being the worst and five the best. The icons below represent our three to five ratings, you can select a related Rating Image and place on your site with back link to the software page on our site..

We rate software based on the following attributes.

• Interface. Are the software controls usable and aesthetically pleasing? Is the interface layout reasonable and clean? Easy to use?Do buttons have tooltips to let users know what they do?
  
  
• Functionality. Is the output of the software high quality? Does it accomplish its tasks thoroughly and well? Does it work as the developer`s description?
  
  
• Features. Does the software include a lot of features, and are they relevant to its core purpose? Are the features useful? Does the program have uninstall feature and removes all traces of itself from the hard drive.
  
  
• Stability. How well does the software run? Is it well engineered, and does it use minimal system resources? Does it install easily and uninstall completely?
  
  
• Download. Is the software a reasonable file size for its class? If the download is a demo, are the limitations such that a user can get a good idea of how it works?
  
  
• Help and support. Deso the software has a bulit-in help file? A easy-to-read and professional-looking help can touch a higher rating. Is technical support is provided by e-mail or phone? and is it clearly displayed within the program interface or help file.
  
  
• Software Website. Is the software worth the price they offered? Does it have professional-looking website, and contains download links, brief program information, contact information and help?
