Desktop Scout is a feature-packed remote surveillance application with the ability to record comprehensive surveillance logs and impose effective access restrictions on any Windows PC.

By operating in full-stealth mode, the software secretly watches over users to log all applications that have been used, save regular screenshots of the desktop, log all keystrokes typed into all applications, and obstruct any application, document or website that has been blocked by the administrator. You can deny access immediately, or provide time limits for each program on a daily or weekly basis.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of this software is that all this and more can be done remotely, without even being in close proximity of the PC in question. Not only can the logs be viewed remotely over the network, but you are able to transfer files, watch the users screen in real-time and even take control of the remote PC instantly. Advanced users can start and stop processes remotely, export logs into Microsoft Excel for analyzing, as well as launching documents and websites remotely.

The software includes a high level of security. Access to the program is restricted by an administrator password, and all traffic sent over the network is encrypted to prevent eavesdropping. Because the software runs as a Windows Service, the software is impossible to disarm without administrator privileges and the administrator password.
