Max Spam Shield is a single user anti spam software product. It is a Permission Based system that employs optional Challenge or Response and rules to accommodate special situations. This unique combination effectively prevents 100% of the spam intended for the user's inbox. Max Spam Shield contains one list of people from whom messages are always allowed and another list of senders that are never allowed. If the sender is on neither of the lists Max Spam Shield sends a challenge message back to the sender asking for identification so as to prove they are not spamming; this is a user selectable option. When the sender responds to the challenge message, Max Spam Shield presents the sender's identification to the Max Spam Shield user for approval. There are some situations such as mailing lists, newsletters and emails from tech support departments that require special handling. Max Spam Shield employs permission rules to accommodate these situations without using the challenge/response technique. The result with Max Spam Shield is that the user is empowered to control the email inbox with minimal effort, absolute certainty, and in a fashion that is consistent with his or her personal definition of spam.
